Balaram Gautam Dies in Crash in Oklahoma US
A 23-year-old Woodward man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Woodward County. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Balram Gautam was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Oklahoma Highway 50 about 13 miles north of Mooreland.
Troopers say the victim suffered head injuries.
The crash occurred shortly after midnight when the victim's northbound vehicle left the roadway, then came back across the roadway and left it on the other side.
The patrol says the vehicle then struck an embankment and rolled three and one-half times, coming to rest on its top.
Troopers say the victim was pinned in the vehicle for about 90 minutes. They say he was wearing a seat belt.
