Company to Highlight New High-Performance Energy-Efficient GB-X Series Deduplication Storage Appliances

GreenBytes®, Inc., a developer of high-performance, energy-efficient data storage solutions, today announced that the company will be participating in the six remaining ITEC events taking place from October through December of 2009 in cities including Detroit, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Seattle.

The ITEC Conference & Expo is an upper-level event for CIOs and senior IT executives that delivers comprehensive, technology-focused regional conferences. GreenBytes will be showcasing its new GB-X Series data deduplication storage appliances. GreenBytes' GB-X Series storage appliances permit real-time, on-the-fly deduplication of file blocks as they are stored -- expanding the scope of applications into primary storage, as well as backup -- making them well suited for the storage needs of industries of all sizes, from the SMB to the large enterprise.

GreenBytes' intelligent power management capabilities automatically put a subset of drives into a lower power state and keep only the necessary drives active, providing storage appliances that offer unparalleled power efficiency. GreenBytes has also created a new easy-to-use interface with the entire set of data management tasks completely administrated from Microsoft Management Console (MMC) using custom MMC plug-ins. Additionally, GB-X Series appliances were created to grow with the data storage needs of the customer, and are easily and efficiently scalable from 12 TB up to 216 TB.

"We are looking forward to participating in the upcoming ITEC Conference series and showcasing our new GB-X storage appliances to our rapidly growing customer base and network of channel partners," said Rich Shea, vice president of sales at GreenBytes. "We are excited about the disruptive impact that our new GB-X Series appliances will have on the storage market, and welcome the opportunity for our partners and customers to be able to see their capabilities firsthand."
