How to Make a Cause-Mo for the Cure
SEATTLE - (BUSINESS WIRE) - To make a great Cause-Mo, start with two parts Restaurants Unlimited,
Inc. (RUI), add one part breast cancer awareness and finish with a
splash of fun. For the second straight year RUI aims to donate over
$30,000 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world's largest network
of breast cancer survivors and activists dedicated to the fight against
breast cancer.
The program is simple: For every cosmopolitan cocktail purchased during
the month of October at any RUI restaurant, $1.00 will be donated to the
local Komen affiliate and the guest will receive a pink cause bracelet.
RUI will also donate $1.00 for every nonalcoholic fresh mint Mojito
purchased.
Since the inception of the program in 2007, the amount donated has
increased from $2,188 to just over $30,000. This year RUI aims to grow
that number even larger October 1st through October 31st.
"Susan G. Komen is an outstanding organization with a great cause," says
Norman Abdallah, CEO of RUI. "Many of our employees, guests, family and
friends have experienced the battle against breast cancer first hand,
and it is important for us as a company to do all we can to help raise
awareness and find a cure. One of our RUI's guiding principles is We
Give, and this year I hope to give more than ever before."

About Susan G. Komen for the Cure
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do
everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that
promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global
breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest
grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to
save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize
science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the
Cure, Komen has invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill their promise,
becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight
against breast cancer in the world. For more information about Susan G.
