Obama's Teflon of Democrat Progaganda and Denial
Dear NewsBlaze Editor:
Funny how the mainstream media helps damaging labels stick or fall depending on one's location on the political spectrum.
Unemployment after eight months under Barack Obama and two and two-thirds years under a Democrat controlled congress has now risen to 9.8% or roughly 270 thousand new jobless Americans. When the jobless rate rose under Republican Ronald Reagan the media smugly attached a catchy label of blame: "the New Poor". Whither this tag under Obama? No where.
The new President's own top commander publicly warned that the present aimless course with proposed troop cuts will again empower the Taliban to enact 9-11 style actions and his call for a driely needed 40,000 troop increase is under attack by the same liberals who slammed Bush for his actions in Iraq that veered from advisors. Meanwhile even as an Afghan terrorist is caught planning massive strikes in New York City, Obama continues his shut down of the Guantanamo Bay terror suspect facility.
After blasting the GOP for months on the campaign trail about a lack of bi-partisanship, the Democrats are still pushing for countless Americans to be required to buy Obamacare insurance and possibly face legal reprisals if they don't. In fact the only reason they are scaling back on it is a likely working-class American backlash against these Draconian proposals. The "new poor"? "Bi-partisanship"?
I'd bet the farm that if Obama had an "R" next to his name, the fawning media would end the honeymoon faster than a tax increase and suddenly rediscover all those convenience based labels. Honesty in the face of teflon propaganda and denial faces an uphill climb.
