PrePass Plus: Buckeye Ready
PrePass Plus Weigh Station - Electronic Toll Collection Combo Automatically Interoperable With Ohio E-ZPass

As Ohio brings E-ZPass online today, PrePass Plus will be
operational for toll payment without any action by its customers. At that
time, the PrePass Plus combination
weigh station - electronic toll collection (ETC) system will be interoperable for
toll payment from Maine to southern Virginia and from Boston to west of
Chicago.
"The decision to become interoperable with E-ZPass is a big convenience
factor for PrePass trucks using the Ohio Turnpike," said Richard P. Landis,
president and CEO of HELP, Inc., the public private partnership that offers
the PrePass
weigh station technology.
PrePass is a sophisticated system that enables qualified trucks to comply
electronically with state safety, registration and weight requirements at
highway speeds using a small in-cab
transponder. By avoiding weigh station stops and idling in queues,
trucks save time, reduce fuel consumption and contribute to a cleaner and
safer transportation system.
PrePass Plus allows PrePass carriers to use the same in-cab
transponder to pay their E-ZPass system tolls electronically, saving them
time and making them eligible for toll discounts in some systems.
Beginning in November, PrePass will unveil an expanded suite of services
that help truckers manage fleets, control costs and improve highway safety
every day.
