I think I want the Halloween haunted house from Dorothea's Christmas and the flowers from Petals by Patrice. Alan wants the guitar from Nicholson Music. There are over 40 items to choose from, so it should be a great event at the festival.
I just heard that Kaye Irwin, who owns the jewelry store in HomeConsignment, next to Lowe's, designed and made an exciting necklace for the Silent Auction. It is a 19" necklace with a large 14K gold lobster clasp of whisky and lime green citrines, plus 4 "rutilated" stones, and various green and gold topaz beads. So I think that might be on my bidding list too!
The listing below shows the generous businesses that supported the Gourd and Art Festival with donations for the silent auction, please let them know you noticed their generosity.
This weekend, the Folsom Gourd and Arts Festival runs over two days, Saturday and Sunday, at Folsom City Park on Natoma Street. It is the 15th annual Folsom Gourd Festival in Folsom, where over 150 artists offer their exquisite gourds and artwork.
It is a chance for the community to come together, to have a great time, see the quality work of many artisans from near and far and to learn something we didn't know before.
The festival includes gourd craft, gourd tools, gourd classes, other quality art, entertainment, and food. More than 4,000 visitors are expected to attended the two day event.
