Maoist Intention to Change Nepalese National Flag
By D.R. Prasai in Kathmandu
Those who like to change our Nepalese national Flag, they are traitors. They are not talking for the sake of Nepal. Actually, they are destroyers and anarchists who want abolish all the national identity of Nepal. After the regime of Maoist Now, we have culprits & antinationalist Regime in Nepal. The Maoists are changing their hues and showing new dramas. Nepalese people do not want any kind of confused and communist authoritarianism.
The concerns of the people are political stability, peace, justice and good governance. A democratic political system is always put at the highest echelon because only a good and well-established political system can lead the masses by determining appropriate social and economic systems of the state through concrete policies and programmed. But because of the inept and directionless political leaders and their deprived mentality, the country has still not found a clear political direction.
Why Maoists are interested to disturb the Nepalese national glory? In Sanskrit, Hindu means 'Hi'= Sun, 'Indu'= moon. Nepalese national flag is also decorated by Sun and Moon. The triangular flag with the Sun and Moon is based on the principles of Hinduism. The national flag of Nepal has its own identity and recognition in the world. The Nepalese flag is very inclusive and represents to all the castes and tribes insisting the nature. The flag of Nepal is the symbol of unity in diversity. The Maoist wants to change the national flag. That is why; the intention of Maoist is to abolish the identity of Nepalese nationality. To change the national flag is irrational. The Nepalese people believe, Nepal will remain eternal till there is the Sun and Moon.
I am very sorry; Nepal has always shown goodwill towards India. But the Indian intention is quite suspicious no matter the co-operations between two countries. India professes one thing and acts contrary to it which always gives a room to suspect its role. Nepal shares 1,880 kilometres of open border with India. It has over the years built numerous structures in the vicinity of no man's land which is against the international norms. Indian is lifting the Maoists in Nepal. Now, why Indian PM is going to exercise in suicidal conspiracy? Indian Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh this week spoke about growing Maoist strength in India.
Mr. Singh also made the accusation that Indian Maoist 'terrorists' are getting support from Nepali territory. In a live radio talk show, I have analyzed the issue based on India's double standards in dealing with 'terrorists.' The radio talk show covers the aspects ranging from India's pressure on Nepal government on trade; security threats; border; handling of Maoists and other political forces.
S.D Muni (Professor of J.N.U and the policymaker of south block) in his article 'Dealing with a new Nepal' in The Hindu Daily on 15th September 2008 has conceded that India had provided one billion rupees for running the agitation.' With those resources along with the guide-lines of south-block, they could forge the Jana-Anandolan. This was the mysterious design for our country. Recently (29 Jun 2009 The Kathmanu Post), Indian foreign minister Pranab Mukharjee accepted that the Maoist party which was an extremist party and chose violence, was convinced by India and compelled to join mainstream politics. We also convinced other mainstream political parties (Nepali Congress, UML) to form government by including Maoist party also. Till then Maoist was protected and armed by Indians and the Congress & UML were almost failure to run the government in their own capacity because their governance between 1990 and 2002 was a complete failure. It is likely to recur. The Maoists are responsible all about the anarchism.
The secularism & republic is not the current issue in Nepal, the main problem is only how to save the country from corruptions & foreign intervention. We are suffering from daylight robbery, killings and insecurity of the public life even after handing over the state power to those who led the agitation. What is the cause? Due to the absence of the King, all the traitors are ruling in regime.
In the context of Nepal, the authorized guardian of the country is the King. We view that effort made both by the King and the people will only enhance the nation & democracy. But the leaders did not like to understand the reality and they declared republic under foreign pressure. The republic, secularism, federalism is becoming the main problem of the country's stability. To safeguard the nationality & democracy of Nepal and for Indian's culture and security, the King ought to be re-established, and the parliament should be strong. Equally, the political leaders must be patriot & be true to what they say. Nepal has become the playground of foreigners the problem will only be resolved when the King and the people's leaders will be together in regime.
