Top Media Executives Convene at 2009 Clickability Digital Strategies Conference
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Clickability, Inc., the global leader in on demand Web Content Management (WCM), hosted The 2009 Digital Strategies Conference at the Tribeca Cinemas in New York City on September 9th. The groundbreaking conference brought together executives from the nation's top media brands to debate emerging online strategies. Topics included: how national brands are re-inventing their local presence; controversial new monetization models; and executive digital strategies that must be deployed now for future success.
Representatives of the broadcast industry included executive leaders from NBC and Broadcast Interactive Media. NBC's Brian Buchwald, Greg Gittrich and Robyn Peterson discussed how mature digital strategies must include both national and localized components. Case study examples showed how engaging local audiences based on new strategies has increased both viewership and revenue.
Industry luminaries Gordon Crovitz, co-founder of Journalism Online and former publisher of The Wall Street Journal; Cathryn Cronin Cranston, senior media executive and former publisher of the Harvard Business Review; and Michael Wolff, award-winning Vanity Fair columnist, debated a variety of digital monetization strategies. Moderated by Bill Grueskin, dean of academic affairs at the Columbia School of Journalism, the panel provided fresh insight on a controversial topic.
