FacilityONE(R) Protects Schools with HAWK(TM) - a Facility Information Initiative

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Whether our kids are five, 18, or 30, it is our responsibility to keep them safe and comfortable as they study and learn. Some will be doctors. Some will be engineers, chefs, teachers or even government leaders. In every case, children are the future of this country and our legacy. We owe them a secure, safe environment so their minds are clear to concentrate on what kids do best - learn, grow and have fun in a carefree environment.

In 2009, FacilityONE created a Program called HAWK (Helping America Watch over its Kids) to do just that. HAWK provides a day-to-day maintenance solution for schools of all shapes and sizes, a better tool for maintaining and overseeing all aspects of facility management.

According to HAWK Executive Director, Dawn Cain, "But HAWK can do much more! HAWK provides a means of collaboration between a school's facility management and security departments. Schools will now be emergency-ready for all those events that threaten our kids - fire, floods, storms, other kids, and malicious people. FacilityONE ties all these functions, maintenance AND security, together into one single system."

By combining HAWK and other FacilityONE systems, schools can save money, improve efficiency and still provide the best care and comfort available for our kids. We're proud to work with Cincinnati State Technical and Community College to develop this one-of-a-kind approach to facility management and safety in schools. This school and its highly professional staff have guided us every step of the way to bring HAWK to the market. FacilityONE CEO, Dale Cain met with Cincinnati State President, Dr. John Henderson, and Mr. Cain says "When Cincinnati State first began planning for a system that would fulfill their maintenance needs, they evaluated FacilityONE. As their team reviewed the solution capabilities, they became acutely aware that the system could do much more. Then, once we explained the HAWK vision, the pieces came into place. In the spirit of Cincinnati State's desire to be a community and 2 educational leader, we are proud that they are the first school to implement HAWK on their campus."

HAWK is a reality-based program that is serious about keeping our kids secure, comfortable and safe. It is designed to bring attention to our responsibility for keeping the kids in this country protected under its watchful eye.

FacilityONE's web-based Facility Information Solution (FIS(TM)) enables both executive management and front line operations people to document, manage, control and assess their facilities and associated systems. More intuitive and dramatically less expensive than traditional facility management solutions, FacilityONE's SMARTPRINT(R) technology under the new HAWK program puts education facilities in control of every asset, helping them to maximize uptime and efficiency.

About the FacilityONE HAWK Program (Helping America Watch over its Kids)

School disasters across the nation demonstrate the difficulties that face our school systems with emergency preparedness. Lack of updated facility layouts, understanding infrastructure and critical systems, and communication with first responders are critical problems that must be overcome. The FacilityONE HAWK program helps address key emergency preparedness issues, putting knowledge and power into the hands of school administrators and first responders. HAWK brings focus to the need for management of day-to-day facility operations, while being better prepared to respond to incidents and keep students, faculty and staff out of harm's way. HAWK is the solution designed with America's kids of all ages in mind.
