Free Workshop: Choosing All-STAR Plants for Water-Conserving Gardens
Homeowners will learn how to select All-Star Plants for Water-Conserving Gardens at a free workshop beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22 at the Senior and Arts Center, 48 Natoma St.
Karrie Reid, a University of California, Davis horticultural researcher and gardening enthusiast will present the two-hour workshop.
"Karrie has extensive knowledge and hands-on experience to help make landscapes the envy of the neighborhood," says Don Smith, Folsom's Water Management coordinator. "She will cover planting, establishing and maintaining a water-conserving yard."

The free workshop is co-sponsored by the Utilities Department and Kikkoman Foods. Attendees will have an opportunity to win several door prizes, including plants. Light refreshments will be served.
