Internet marketing training specialist Econsultancy and Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) have confirmed the addition of a January intake into their timetable for the MSc in Digital Marketing Communications http://econsultancy.com/training/qualifications/masters due to unprecedented demand over the last year.

In September more than 40 delegates will begin studying the programme, now in its third year, an increase of 100% on 2008 numbers, and there is already a waiting list for January.
Students represent a diverse range of backgrounds and career levels, from those recently made redundant looking for a new career, to new graduates to more established digital marketing professionals from organisations such as LV=, MG OMD, Orange, Live Bookings, moo.com and the University of Winchester.

The professional postgraduate marketing qualification is recognised for delivering practical, immediately applicable skills for the workplace in combination with rigorous academic support. Practitioner led training and flexible study options allow the programme to be tailored to individual needs, making it ideal for those looking to consolidate their existing skills.

David Bird, Senior Lecturer at MMU, explains "Universities see increasing demand for places during a recession and the MSc in Digital Marketing Communications is perfectly positioned for those looking to update their skills or change direction.  A January intake provides greater flexibility for prospective delegates, and cements the programme's position as the UK's leading digital marketing qualification."

Craig Hanna, Training Director at Econsultancy adds "The fantastic growth in student numbers this year is testament to the reputation the programme is gaining in the digital marketing industry, and it's great to see so many organisations recognising the value of postgraduate training for their future leaders and our programme as the clear industry leader."
