Utah Development Bucking National Trend with Banner Summer Sales

HEBER VALLEY, Utah - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Red Ledges, a private golf and four-season recreational community located near Park City, announced significant real estate sales as a result of opening its Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course on July 3. Since January 2009, Red Ledges has exceeded its sales projections and has sold a combined 25 home sites and cottages.

"The factors of Red Ledges' sales success can be attributed to our alignment with names like Jack Nicklaus, Jim McLean and Cliff Drysdale, our commitment to sticking to a solid development plan, and to the reputations of the two owners, M. Anthony Burns and Nolan Archibald," said Todd Cates, Red Ledges vice president and project manager. "Discerning buyers are not only looking for value, they are also looking for a lifestyle experience, which is why these factors make Red Ledges a top choice right now."

Red Ledges has also succeeded in instilling confidence that the development will be around for years to come, creating a secure and assured investment for buyers. Red Ledges is well funded and managed by its owners, M. Anthony Burns and Nolan Archibald, both of whom have served as CEOs for Fortune 500 companies.

With the completion of the Jack Nicklaus Signature Red Ledges golf course, which represents the 200th U.S. golf course designed by Nicklaus Design, the development recently started site work for its first building in the Village Center, which is slated for completion in summer 2011. Red Ledges will also continue to develop the community and introduce other golf amenities down the road, including a nine-hole Nicklaus Design short course, a Jim McLean Golf School, and a premier golf clubhouse.

"With so much money sitting on the sidelines, individuals are looking for the right investment and continue to be prudent in their purchasing decisions," continues Cates. "Our strategy at Red Ledges has been to offer purchasing incentives that add significant value to their investment."

Red Ledges offers homes sites ranging from $250,000 to $850,000, and Cottage homes, which start in the low $900s. The Cottages at Red Ledges provide buyers with the luxury of owning their own home, along with the convenience of low-maintenance living.
