Original Poetry: Enlightenment
By Joey Liam
Dark clouds appear over the horizon
What a gloomy sight of distress
No sunlight, no bright skies, no lucidity at all
The murky shadows bother me, I confess
Suddenly I bethink a verse
A cherubic utterance from the past
It says, "Be strong and fear not, for I am with thee"
And so faithfully I remain steadfast
The dark clouds slowly disappear
Conceding to the warmest smile of the golden sun
I see hope, faith, and love once more
The glorious majesty of the Father and the Son
