Local Folsom Merchants Support Gourd Festival Raffle

The 15th annual Folsom Gourd & Arts Festival will be held at Folsom City Park on September 26-27, 2009. Over 150 artists offer their exquisite artwork during this two day event.

The festival includes gourd craft, art, entertainment, and food. Classes and demonstrations by well-known artists, are available to teach gourd art techniques. Visitors can learn skills such as cutting, dying, and embellishing gourds. Leiser's Gourd Farm will be on hand with thousands of gourds while art suppliers present the latest tools, books, and materials.

Last year, 4,000 visitors attended the two day event. This, year, four non-profit groups are supporting the event to make it even more successful and interesting for everyone who attends.

Each year, the festival includes a raffle that supports the local arts community. This year, the Folsom Patrons of the Arts and Folsom Lake Community Concert Association team up to run the raffle which supports four local non-profits.
