TrainingPro Acquires NMLS Approval for 20-Hour and 8-Hour Mortgage Pre-Licensing Courses
HUNT VALLEY, Md. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - TrainingPro, the national leader in mortgage
education, is pleased to announce it has received course approval
from the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) for its 20-hour and
8-hour mortgage pre-licensing courses.
The 20-hour course entitled "20 Hour Achieving Mortgage
Excellence_S.A.F.E. Comprehensive" fulfills the new federal education
prerequisite for obtaining a mortgage license. This 20-hour minimum
requirement is a result of mortgage education and licensing changes
outlined in the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act
of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act). The course includes the eight hours of required
topics identified in the S.A.F.E. Act, and 12 hours of electives.
The 8-hour course entitled "8 Hour Compliance and Competency_S.A.F.E.
Core" is a condensed course that offers students only the core topics
required by the SAFE
Mortgage licensing Act:

Three hours of federal mortgage-related laws
-
Three hours of ethics
-
Two hours of lending standards for the nontraditional mortgage product
marketplace
Both of these courses are now available. They will be listed in the NMLS
Course Catalog when publically available on the NMLS web site but is
