Viverae Named to Inc. Magazine's Inc. 5000
DALLAS - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Viverae,
a leading provider of health management solutions, has been named to the
2009 Inc.
5000, ranking 775 and making the list for the first time
as one of the nation's fastest growing companies.
The Inc. 5000 recognition comes on the heels of Viverae CEO Michael
Nadeau's honor as Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year
2009 in the "emerging sector" category for the Southwest Area North
region.
Inc. recognized Viverae's 375-percent revenue growth from 2005 to
2008. With this growth percentage, Dallas-based Viverae ranked 61 out of
the top 100 companies in the health industry nationwide and ranked 29
out of the top 100 companies in the Dallas/Fort Worth region. Viverae
creates health management programs that reduce health care costs through
improved employee health.
"Viverae has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years due
to our ability to evolve with the ever-changing health care industry,"
said Michael Nadeau, president and chief executive officer of Viverae,
who founded the company in 2003. "To be recognized on a national level
by Inc. makes our rapid growth all the more real. We remain
focused on expanding our client base, product offering and technology
platform, especially over the next 18 months, as we continue to help
shape the emerging health management industry."
According to the 2009 Inc. 5000, "health is the top industry by both
total revenue ($22.7 billion) and total employment (156,223 jobs)."
In addition to revenue, Viverae has also seen growth of its employee
base. The Viverae team grew by 80 percent from 2008 to 2009, and the
company has plans to bring on additional team members this year to meet
the increased corporate demand for comprehensive health management
solutions.
"Viverae's vision is to help redefine corporate wellness," Nadeau
continued. "This is a great environment for us today as more companies
are looking for a solution to control rising health care costs and to
improve a generally unhealthy workforce." Viverae's hands-on programs
are a unique combination of health assessments, extensive outreach,
creative challenge activities and meaningful incentives that are aligned
with each client's culture and health profile.
The Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2005
through 2008. To qualify, companies must have been founded and
generating revenue by the first week of 2005, and therefore able to show
four full calendar years of sales. Additionally, nominated companies
have to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent-not
subsidiaries or divisions of other companies-as of Dec. 31, 2008.
Revenue in 2005 must have been at least $200,000, and revenue in 2008
must have been at least $2 million.
"Savvy trend spotters and those who invest in private companies know
that the Inc. 5000 is the best place to find out about young companies
that are achieving success through a wide variety of unprecedented
business models, as well as older private companies that are still
expanding at an impressive rate," said Inc. 5000 project manager Jim
Melloan. "That's why our list is so eagerly anticipated every year."

Ceremony Sept. 23 to 25, 2009, in National Harbor, Md., for honorees and
alumni for a networking recognition event.
