DALLAS - (BUSINESS WIRE) - MedSynergies Surgical Division (MSD), a division of MedSynergies Inc., announced today a contract expansion with Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center (Peak) to provide practice management services and revenue cycle solutions to help standardize operations.

In 2008, Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center of Plano selected MSD to streamline operations, increase revenue and improve the practice's bottom line. In less than one year, Peak has grown by 11 percent, increasing its collections by 41 percent. As a result, Peak selected MSD to streamline five metroplex clinics through practice management and revenue cycle solutions, including:

  • Billing and collections, accounts receivable follow-up, claims submission, reporting, training
  • Accounting/financial services, accounts payable, financial statements, bank/vendor relationship management
  • Human resources, payroll, benefits design/management, handbook creations
  • IT services and network, e-mail, Web site and software hosting services

"MedSynergies Surgical Division was able to implement their services quickly at our Plano clinic, allowing improvement in collections, processes and business structure to start immediately," said Steve Cole, MSPT, Peak clinic co-owner. "We were so happy with the results that we wanted to implement the practice management and revenue cycle services to allow our therapists to focus on patient care - our first priority as a health care provider."

With nine locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers are therapist-owned outpatient physical therapy clinics specializing in the rehabilitation of all orthopedic injuries and conditions. MSD is implementing its solutions at the McKinney, Michael Johnson Performance Center, Ennis and Frisco locations.

"We are proud of our success with Peak's Plano location and look forward to working with the recently added clinic locations to encourage growth, streamline business operations and help them reach their specific goals," said Don Dale, president of MedSynergies Surgical Division. "Our business is 100 percent referrals, so we appreciate that our clients are sharing the positive results we are achieving with other practices."

MedSynergies Surgical Division provides complete practice management services dedicated to enhancing the strategic, financial and operating environment of physician and health care clients. It currently supports physician practices and health care organizations nationwide, with specific expertise in orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology and physical therapy.
