Pakistani Flags Unfurled in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 14: As Pakistan was celebrating its independence day on Friday, the Pakistani flags were unfurled at some places in Kashmir with youth bursting crackers to celebrate the day.
According to reports, the Pakistani flags were unfurled at Eidgah, Maisuma, Baramulla and Sopore townships in Kashmir by a group of youth. They later chanted pro-Pakistan, pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. The youth also burst crackers to mark the Pakistan's Independence Day.
Meanwhile, in historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, a group of youth assembled in the compound after Friday prayers and raised pro-Pakistan and pro-freedom slogans. They clashed with police and paramilitary personnel, who were deployed in strength in the area to prevent people from taking to roads and staging pro-Pakistan demonstrations.
Meanwhile, almost all the separatist groups have felicitated Pakistan on its independence day. They expressed the hope that the country would continue to provide diplomatic and moral support to people of Kashmir.
