FBI Looking For "Winnie The Pooh Bank Robber"
By Robert Paul Reyes
"The FBI and Park Ridge police on Tuesday were searching for a gunman who robbed a Chase Bank branch in the northwest suburb last week.
The robber, dubbed the 'Winnie the Pooh bandit,' wore a long-sleeve, navy blue sweat shirt depicting the fictional bear when he robbed the bank." http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-winnie-the-pooh-bandit-12-aug12,0,5705276.story
Surveillance tape captured the image of tough-looking guy sporting sunglasses, and a Winnie the Pooh shirt. It's disconcerting to witness a tough guy wearing a shirt depicting the lovable bear taking a nap.
I'm not a bank robber, and I don't think like one, but if you're going to rob a bank wouldn't you want to look as inconspicuous as possible? A witness may not be able to describe the robber's facial features, but he will be able to tell the cops: Dude was wearing a Winnie the Pooh shirt.
Here's a description of the creep: White/male, 35 - 40 years of age, 6'0 tall, 225 pounds, with a medium build.
If you live in the Chicago area and you think you know who the perp is, call the cops.
