NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Allstate (NYSE: ALL), the nation's largest publicly held personal lines insurer, is reaching out to job-seekers - especially entrepreneurs investigating second careers. The company has launched a recruitment campaign to attract successful, self-motivated entrepreneurs for a career as an Allstate Exclusive Agent.

"We are looking for people who want to own and operate their own business," said Mike McKinney, field vice president for Allstate's Southern Region. "If you are self-motivated and goal and success-oriented, you'll probably find the prospect of being your own boss particularly appealing," said McKinney.

Allstate agent recruiters want to add 90 new exclusive agents by the end of 2009. Target areas for the recruitment campaign include:
