The SOC Exchange Membership Surges as Founder Completes U.S. Tour

NEW YORK, Aug. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The SOC Exchange (www.thesocexchange.com), an e-commerce website that allows users to buy and sell items for a flat rate of $10 per year, has seen an unprecedented surge in membership after its founder and CEO Franco Lagudi visited the United States to aggressively market the site. Lagudi, an Australian entrepreneur who founded The SOC Exchange last year, was in the United States in July and appeared on numerous local television segments in key U.S. markets, providing tips and advice on how one can successfully execute an online garage sale.

In addition to the Buy & Sell marketplace, three other portals are available to members: Careers, Auto and Real Estate for a flat rate of $10 per year.

"The media and consumer response to The SOC Exchange was outstanding," stated Lagudi. "It's obvious that there are an increasing number of consumers looking for cost-effective solutions to sell their items online without having to pay the extreme commission and listing fees associated with other sites. Intense marketing has been a major component that contributed to the increase of membership, and we will continue to execute an aggressive campaign."

While in the country, Lagudi also met with a number of charities to create partnerships for its Charity Referral Program. The SOC Exchange is partnering with worthwhile charities to create their own 'SOC' sites to sell items and promote their causes. The charities will equally split the revenue (50%) generated by people who sign up for one year subscriptions of $10. Each charity will receive $5 for each person that signs up for a $10 one year subscription quoting the organizations referral ID. By also creating 'SOC' sites, the partnering charities will keep 100 percent of its profits from the sale of items.

"During these tough economic times we believe a partnership with The SOC Exchange will not only raise money for these organizations but also create a friendly online community of happy buyers and sellers," said Lagudi, who noted he is close to announcing several initial partnerships.
