Air Conditioning by Jay Makes APS Rebates Easy

Air Conditioning by Jay leads the pack of Phoenix air conditioning
contractors that process more Arizona Public Service (APS) rebates than
any other contractor in Arizona. Air Conditioning by Jay customers received
thousands of dollars back for purchasing high efficiency air conditioning
and heating systems.
The APS Residential Air Conditioner Rebate program offers rebates to
residential customers replacing their existing AC unit or heat pump with a
high efficiency system. To qualify for the APS rebate, all equipment must
be installed by an APS qualified contractor such as Air
Conditioning by Jay. Work must meet the Quality Installation standards of
APS.
In 2009, Air Conditioning by Jay has already processed 71 rebates with a
total payout of $33,500 to their customers. In the past four weeks, an
additional $130,000 in APS rebates were approved. Rebates are for duct
testing and sealing and renewable geothermal applications.
APS issues a rebate of up to 50 percent of all geothermal related equipment
and installation. The tax credits offered on geothermal related equipment
and installation are up to 30 percent. Savings continue because energy
bills are significantly reduced. New electric AC
unit(s) and heat pumps are up to 50 percent more efficient than units
installed over a decade ago.
APS Quality Installation standards include proper sizing calculation and
airflow and refrigeration charge checks. Many air conditioning units are
over 60 percent oversized, leading to higher maintenance costs.
Unfortunately, up to 75 percent of installed cooling equipment does not
meet manufacturer specifications for airflow and refrigeration charge. This
is the reason for the APS rebate program.
Air Conditioning by Jay makes it simple to take advantage of APS
rebates. High efficiency units offer improved temperature and humidity
control for greater comfort. Modern equipment is quieter than older units.
A high efficiency AC system also improves homes' resale value.
Even the city of Phoenix took advantage of APS rebates totaling $825,000.
Mayor Phil Gordon stated, "Our participation in the APS energy savings
programs makes sense in so many ways. This not only saves us all money
during difficult times, but also helps preserve and sustain our
environment. It's all green and it's all good."
Air Conditioning by Jay is a leading processor of residential APS rebates.
