Serena Lean BPM Speeds up Australian Sports and Anti-Doping Authority
SYDNEY and REDWOOD CITY, Calif., July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Australia's peak anti-doping body, the Australian Sports and Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) has chosen Serena Business Mashups to deliver speed and efficiency across their entire business processes.
Serena Business Mashups is a web-architected, secure and highly configurable process and issues management system that provides a central point of access from the web browser for users who can submit, receive or manage requests, and view a project status overview, anywhere, and any time.
"ASADA's daily operations generate enormous volumes of data so we were looking for a flexible and reliable solution that we could quickly integrate into our own environment with minimum amount of disruption," Mr. Craig Gilmore network infrastructure manager at ASADA said. "The Serena solution ticked all the boxes, it offered ease of implementation plus simple integration into the existing environment and from a corporate point of view it complied with all the strict government requirements."
ASADA's staff in their 4 national offices are able to access Serena online to log an IT complaint or submit an issue. Because this goes directly through the software, ASADA's IT department is able to eliminate the time spent logging-in and following up on requests. This allows them to quickly pick up and facilitate the request and trace the job online, resulting in more accurate information, less confusion and faster response times.
According to Gilmore, this single source of information has greatly improved the efficiency of the IT department, reducing the time required for the Help Desk to respond and fix any problems. Additionally, if it is a recurring problem, the technician can use Business Mashups to immediately refer to the previous request and quickly identify the problem.
"I saw a demonstration of the latest version of Serena Business Mashups and it was awesome," Gilmore said. "I can see its potential through all ASADA departments and I have already experienced the advantages of being able to complete and get approval of a training form online. This in itself has reduced the turnaround time through the various departments from 1 week to 1 hour."
Serena Software Managing director Australia and New Zealand, Mr. John Hummelstad, said, "ASADA understands the benefits of using Serena's Business Process Mashups to deliver complete control and transparency among all stakeholders across the organisation. We are delighted to be working with ASADA and will continue to help them implement additional programs through Serena Lean BPM."
