Terry Katon Joins Regions Bank to Lead Commercial Syndications Business

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Regions Financial Corporation (NYSE: RF) has named Terry Katon as managing director overseeing the commercial syndications business within the Business Services Group's Capital Markets division. In this capacity, Katon will lead the group with a focus on growing Regions' commercial syndication business.

"This strategic hire confirms our commitment to expand Regions' capacity to provide capital solutions as businesses deal with this difficult economic environment," said Chris Grubbs, head of Regions Capital Markets division. "Terry's proven track record, extensive background in capital markets, and demonstrated experience with middle market and large capitalization clients are a great fit for Regions."

Katon brings 19 years of banking experience to Regions as a seasoned debt capital markets executive. Most recently, he served as the managing director and group head of Banc of America Capital Solutions, LLC (BACS). In addition, Katon's tenure with Bank of America included managing director and head of middle market loan syndications for BACS. Prior to working at Bank of America, Katon worked at Wachovia in Capital Markets as a vice president of loan syndications and private placements.

Katon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and received an MBA from Wake Forest University in Winston–Salem, NC.
