Green Planet Group, Inc. Requests Retraction of Erroneous Information Disseminated by Yahoo Finance
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Green Planet Group, Inc. (OTCBB: GNPG) today announced that Yahoo
Finance (NASDAQ: YHOO) mistakenly released financial data from over two
years ago of its predecessor company, EMTA Holdings. The financials were
presented as current. Green Planet's lawyers have requested that Yahoo
formally retract and correct this egregious error immediately.
Green Planet Group, Inc. contends this error caused a reduction in share
value of over fifty (50) percent during the last two days of trading,
having nothing to do with the Company's fundamentals.
"Yahoo Finance has such a strong influence on the investing public, that
this type of mistake can almost instantaneously damage any public
company," stated Mr. Edmond Lonergan, Pres/CEO of GNPG. Lonergan
continues, "We will file our current Fiscal Year's 10K by tomorrow and
distribute a new release detailing the Company's performance later this
week."
