Capitol Concierge, Inc.'s Lynda Ellis Wins 2009 Brava! Women Business Achievement Award

As company president, owner and CEO, Ellis leads by example and acts as role model

WASHINGTON, July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Lynda Ellis, president, owner and CEO of Capitol Concierge, Inc., the nation's largest concierge service provider, has won the 2009 Brava! Women Business Achievement Award. SmartCEO's Brava! Women Business Achievement Awards celebrate 25 women who are active leaders and role models; who believe in building companies that are resources for dependable products and relationships; and who provide services that people can and will rely upon. Community involvement and philanthropic acts are also considered for the selection of award recipients.

Lynda Ellis was selected for this award as a result of her dedication to Capitol Concierge and its employees, for consistently exceeding customer service expectations, and for her philanthropic efforts. Under Lynda's leadership, and fueled by her values and strong relationships, Capitol Concierge has experienced growth averaging 20% per year since 2005.

Lynda developed the Quality Assurance Program at Capitol Concierge, in which a Quality Assurance Director 'secret shops' each of more than 400 employees and sites to ensure standards are being met and to witness employees doing great things. Not only is client satisfaction given top priority, but employee satisfaction is as well. Significant resources are devoted to training and development, resulting in record high levels of employee additions and retention.

Lynda's leadership has reached beyond Capitol Concierge and into the community, as she regularly contributes time, labor and financial support to the Special Education James E. Duckworth School, The FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association, The Lupus Foundation and the American Cancer Society. Lynda encourages her employees to work with her in support of Toys for Tots, Angel Tree Program and Daffodil Days with the American Cancer Society, as well as collecting warm clothing for the homeless and canned food for the hungry.

A profile on Lynda and Capitol Concierge will be featured in the July issue of SmartCEO. Furthermore, a reception for Lynda and the other winners will be held on July 16, 2009. For more information on how to purchase tickets, please contact Jamie Park at SmartCEO, Jamie@smartceo.com.
