Best Interest of The People of California?
I just read and reread the item in the Sacramento Bee, Sunday, July 5, 2009 by Bill Mundell, titled "Australia's fiscal turnaround is a fine model for this state".
I couldn't believe his suggestions for our state parks. Is he a developer? This was my first thought. Thinking of my drive by Santa Monica and all the houses that block the view and access to the beaches in that area, by the greed of our developers. All I could see was roof tops, what an ugly sight.
Do you honestly believe this is in the best interest of the people of California. As soon as the land is in the hands of a few that is the end as we know of as State Parks for the people, by the people.
GREED has destroyed our State and Country and now if what you WANT goes through all access to families and everyone to enjoy our land and sites. GREED will place developers into a position to build, build, and build. Once covered with cement that is the end of open land for all.
Go to Bear Valley/Lake Alpine area and see what happens when things are turned over to private parties.
We used to camp there with the camping areas kept clean and neat. Now the bathrooms are a mess, showers are dirty and litter all around. When the Rangers were in charge all was neat and clean.
Developers and Investors will only look out for their pocket books and not in any way for the interested of the people. So I must believe you are a developer just waiting to get your hands on land to place cement on it or have GREED on your mind.
Creating new jobs, are you nuts. People already work there and are employed!! I am sorry but all I can see is GREED.
