CSC to Kick Off National Blood Drive Campaign July 8 at Global Headquarters in Virginia

FALLS CHURCH, Va. , July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it will kick off a national blood drive campaign on July 8 in conjunction with the American Red Cross at CSC's new global headquarters in Falls Church, Va. The event continues CSC's 50th anniversary celebration and marks the first in a series of blood drives toward meeting the company's goal of 1,000 pints by Dec. 31, 2009. CSC Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Michael W. Laphen; James W. Sheaffer, president of CSC's North American Public Sector (NPS); and Dr. Robert Wah, chief medical officer and vice president of NPS, will address donors and guests at 9:40 a.m. Virginia Governor Tim Kaine is scheduled to attend and speak briefly.

The event will take place at CSC's Executive Business Briefing Center located at 3170 Fairview Park Dr. Blood donation appointments begin at 8 a.m. and conclude at 8 p.m. CSC employees and their friends and family members are welcome.

Dubbed "Give Blood, Give Life: The CSC 1,000-pint Challenge," the campaign extends the CSC Gives Back program started in 2008. The goal for each individual blood drive is 50 pints. Additional events are already scheduled for July 10 inSterling, Va., July 30 inFalls Church and Sept. 14 inAnnapolis Junction, Md. Plans are underway for events inSan Diego, Calif.;Hartford, Conn.;Patrick AFB, Florida;Dayton, Ohio;Blythewood, S.C.;Dallas andHouston, Texas; and other cities.
