On Monday, June 29, 2009, 82 golfers roamed the greens of the Waterloo and Chateau Bromont golf clubs for the 14th edition of the MS Golf Challenge. Their goal: play 100 holes of golf in a single day for the benefit of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Quebec Division. Their efforts produced excellent results: they raised $400,000 for research and services for people with MS and their families. Since its launch in 1996, the MS Golf Challenge has raised more than $2,515,000.

Jocelyne Cazin, journalist, host and lecturer, and spokesperson of the MS Golf Challenge for the fifth year in a row; Richard de Carufel, President of the MUC Police COOP and honorary co-chair of the event for ninth years now; and Rodger Brulotte, journalist and honorary co-chair for five years, supported the golfers who took up the challenge.

Putting an end to MS

Multiple sclerosis is the most widespread neurological disease among young adults in Canada. It primarily affects people between the ages of 15 and 40, exactly the time when many people are thinking of starting a family and/or focusing on their career.
