Times Publishing Co. Issues Statement Regarding Lawsuit
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. , July 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Andrew P. Corty, vice president and corporate secretary of the Times Publishing Co., (TPC) today issued the following statement in response to a lawsuit filed by Federal News Service against TPC and its Washington subsidiary, Congressional Quarterly, Inc.
"It's a shame that the new owners who just purchased FNS out of a bankruptcy proceeding are using this courtroom tactic rather than simply competing based on the merits of their transcript products. Their allegations are baseless, and obviously we will defend CQ vigorously. In the meantime, CQ will continue to compete on the basis of the quality, depth, breadth and timeliness of our transcript services."
