RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust Announces Date of Second Quarter Earnings Release, Conference Call and Webcast

TORONTO, ONTARIO - (Marketwire - July 2, 2009) - RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust ("RioCan") (TSX:REI.UN) today announced that it is scheduled to release its financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2009 on Monday, July 27, 2009.

Interested parties are invited to participate in a conference call with management on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. eastern time. You will be required to identify yourself and the organization on whose behalf you are participating.
