The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition Seeks Breast Cancer Survivors Throughout Pennsylvania
EPHRATA, Pa. , July 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC) is looking for breast cancer survivors in Pennsylvania to participate in their traveling photo exhibit, "67 Women, 67 Counties: Facing Breast Cancer in Pennsylvania ." Exhibit participants are the face of breast cancer in their community and represent fellow survivors across the state. This work of art features women from each ofPennsylvania's 67 counties, along with a message about how breast cancer has touched their lives. The women reflect the diversity ofPennsylvania, and their stories reflect the impact of breast cancer on themselves, their families and their communities. The exhibit encourages women to learn about early detection and celebrates life, courage, hope and dignity of women and families who have battled breast cancer.
"67 Women, 67 Counties: Facing Breast Cancer inPennsylvania" is sponsored by the PBCC and funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The exhibit travels to several selectPennsylvania communities each year, and has been to over 100 communities since its launch twelve years ago.
The PBCC, founded in 1993, is a non-profit organization and the only statewide grassroots organization that speaks to and for breast cancer survivors. The PA Breast Cancer Coalition represents, supports and serves breast cancer survivors and their families inPennsylvania through educational programming, legislative advocacy and unique outreach initiatives. The PBCC is a statewide non-profit organization that creates the hope of a brighter tomorrow by providing action and information to women with breast cancer today.
