Iowa State Fair Honors Michael Jackson With Giant Butter Statue of King of Pop
By Robert Paul Reyes
"Iowa State Fair organizers announced Tuesday that they will have a statue of Michael Jackson made of butter. The sculpture will be on display along with the annual butter cow, a popular attraction at the event.
Both will be in a 40-degree cooler throughout the fair from Aug. 13 to 23 in Des Moines." The Associated Press
Michael Jackson's moves on the stage were as smooth as butter, but a statue of the King of Pop made of butter? The exceedingly skinny Jackson brings to mind soy milk, not butter.
I guess people have different ways of honoring and or exploiting the gloved one. Iowans are down to earth and kinda hokey, the organizers of the Iowa State Fair are probably sincere in their desire to pay homage to Michael Jackson.
If the annual butter cow is a popular attraction at the Iowa State Fair, the butter Michael Jackson should be the biggest thing ever to hit the Hawkeye State.
The butter Michael Jackson will melt and disappear within a few days, but the King of Pop's music will live forever.
