Paying-It-Forward: How We Live Magazine Makes Over Homes For Military Families in 'Operation L.O.V.E.'

COLUMBIA, S.C. , June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- How We Live Magazine is giving back to the United States military...and in a big way! In a sweeping promotional, the national lifestyle magazine is inviting all soldiers of the Operation Desert Storm, Operation Desert Shield, and the war in Afghanistan to enter its "Military Home Makeover 'What's Your Style?' Sweepstakes." Aptly dubbed "Operation L.O.V.E." (Love Our Vets and Enlistees), the glossy publication - which focuses on homes, decor, style, careers and entertainment - plans to use the decor skills of its talented interior design team to makeover rooms such as the great room, bedroom, living room, patio, kitchenette or dining room in the homes of winning military personnel. A winner will be announced each quarter and will be featured in the ensuing edition of the magazine and on its website. The patriotic sweepstakes befittingly begins this Independence Day, July 4, 2009, and will last one year.

"We've always believed in making a difference in the lives of our readers; this is our way of demonstrating that especially for those who protect us," says How We Live Magazine Publisher and Editor-In-Chief Dana F. Tucker. "Our magazine staffs many Gulf War veterans and this program shows our commitment to paying-it-forward... as homage to them and those who are fighting for the freedoms we've come to appreciate today. It is my hope that this campaign will resonate with others and inspire them to give back in some small way as well."

With major sponsors like Home Depot, Time Warner Cable, Value City Furniture, Model House Interiors, and Myers and Myers Builders already on board, the magazine'sSouth Carolina home-base is fertile ground for such a program. Military installations such as Ft.Jackson, McEntire ANG,Shaw AFB, Parris Island and theCharleston AFB dart the Palmetto state's landscape. Based on the success of this campaign, How We Live Magazine hopes to test-drive the program in other key military states.

Quite simply, How We Live Magazine wants to conduct business by example and truly lead the way in "paying-it-forward" to America's soldiers. For more information on Operation L.O.V.E. or to become a sponsor, contact How We Live Magazine at 803.234.3796 or visit our website at www.howwelive.biz.
