Newport Digital President Michael Lutton added, "Mr. DeMel is an
innovative leader, excellent at creative team building, and running
successful and profitable worldwide organizations in the wireless,
computing and networking technology markets. We look forward to leveraging

By way of background, Mr. DeMel was responsible for creating a
strategic partnership between Intel and ATI. As Senior Vice President, he
was the driving force behind the recreation of ATI (including ATI's Taiwan,
Japan and US design center) where he increased revenues at a record
breaking rate, from $550 million to over a $1.9 billion in two years. He
later drove ATI into their new $125 million plus revenue divisions
supporting the wireless, work station, and telecommunications markets.
As Senior Director of Sales and Business Development at Intel, Mr.

and post acquisition ECD - High Performance Computing and Communications
division efforts worldwide and led the strategy enabling Intel to be the
largest supplier of enterprise wireless, computing, networking,
communications, memory and application specific (ASICs) electronics in the
world. He set the vision and worldwide strategy for the sales, marketing
and business development efforts that drove Intel's revenue growth from
$680 million to greater than $3.4 billion in combined global OEM and
channel revenues in a 5-year period.
Mr. DeMel also raised over $70M+ of venture capital funds from 2002
through 2007 that led the building of three of Intel's leading edge
companies that are recognized as the global leader in the high performance
computing, wireless communications and networking markets while driving the
worldwide demand in server technologies.
As the Senior Director at Level One Communications, Mr. DeMel created
the partnership between Intel and Level One that led to key partnerships
at Intel, IBM, Dell, HP and Cisco that accounted for over half of Level
One's annual revenue and led to the $2.2 billion acquisition in 1999. Mr.
DeMel was responsible for the dramatic annual revenue growth at Level One
Communications for four consecutive years, from $20 million to more than
$680 million and Intel's post acquisition revenues of Level One that grew
from $680 million to over $3.4 billion under his sales, marketing,
operations and business development leadership.
Mr. DeMel led Tarari Inc. as the first true spinout of Intel Corp. As
their Senior Vice President, he drove the company's engineering and product
development from its inception and was responsible for servicing the DOD,
Homeland Security, high performance computing, and Alta-High performance
server farms. He achieved $58 million in annual revenue in the first year
of sales and to over $370 million in revenue in its third year, helping
lead Tarari to being acquired by LSI Logic for over $1.4 billion.
Damion concluded by stating, "Mr. DeMel has terrific experience for
