Tired of Light Skin People Getting Blamed for Everything

This is so true. I am very light skin and I get sick and tired of light skin people always getting blamed for everything. It is not our fault that the media prefers light skin over dark skin or that a rapper prefers light skin models in his video.

We didn't ask to be light skin or mixed so why should we be ashamed of what we are or what we look like. I can't count the number of times I have tried to speak to dark skin women only to be ignored or looked at in a crazy way.

I just had this happen to me again yesterday from an elderly woman. I just happen to be looking up and she was staring at me and gave me this nasty look. I just smiled at her and turned away. Now if the tables were turned and it was me ignoring them than I would have been seen as a stuck up high yella B****.

I don't judge all dark skin people the same because it wouldn't be fair to do that. I have an aunt that is very dark skin so everyone is not like that.

I am so glad to see this article so hopefully dark skin people will see that it's not our fault but they need to look within themselves and see if it truly is self hatred.
