AUSTIN, Texas - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Marking the commercial launch of its Community Gaming series, Multimedia Games, Inc. (Nasdaq: MGAM) ("Multimedia" ) announced today the first installations of Sport of Kings at the Chickasaw Nation's WinStar World Casino in Oklahoma. This first bank of eight Sport of Kings units are located in the new "Rome" section of the recently expanded casino where Multimedia now has 2,440 units installed.

Sport of Kings is Multimedia's initial game offering for the Community Gaming category which links multiple players in bonus rounds that get activated by side bets. The five video reel, twenty line, penny denomination Sport of Kings game is deployed in Multimedia's Player HD Wide Screen cabinet, which since its introduction has garnered strong customer, industry and player response. The Player HD Wide Screen cabinet features an expanded 16:9 aspect screen ratio and the additional available screen space displays bonus and other entertainment value features. An overhead display screen broadcasts the community bonus round which deploys Multimedia's proprietary technology.

Anthony Sanfilippo, President and Chief Executive Office of Multimedia, commented, "Our Community Gaming launch and this Sport of Kings installation represents an inflection point in Multimedia's initiative to expand our footprint of innovative, in-house developed Class III gaming products at tribal and commercial casinos in North America. The horse racing theme of Sport of Kings brings players new levels of excitement at the base game level and the entertainment value is quickly enhanced by the communal bonus rounds as well as the feature benefits of our Player HD gaming cabinet. We are very pleased to be launching Sport of Kings and our Community Gaming product category at WinStar, an innovative operator that has successfully brought new gaming experiences to players."

Juan Rico, Gaming Operations Manager for Chickasaw Nation Division of Commerce, noted, "WinStar World Casino is committed to bringing the finest electronic gaming entertainment to our patrons and with Sport of Kings, Multimedia has taken a holistic approach to marrying its technology, content and gaming cabinet resulting in a product that we expect will generate consistently strong play. We're pleased to be the first casino to offer this innovative game and look forward to future Community Gaming and other unique product introductions from Multimedia."

Sanfilippo added, "Multimedia has a well-defined Class III product release plan based on the phased roll-out in new jurisdictions, subject to licensing requirements, of market proven games and platforms such as our high definition gaming cabinet, and our strategy of marketing new, advanced offerings for niche categories of the slot floor such as Community Gaming. With a sales organization led by accomplished Class III gaming industry veterans, an initiative to secure gaming licenses in new jurisdictions, and products designed to meet the entertainment demands of today's slot player, we are optimistic that we can consistently grow the Company's Class III product market share."

Sport of Kings Game Play Description

Sport of Kings' horserace-centric game play features video reel symbols with all the trappings of a day at the track, including wreaths of roses, horseshoes, betting windows and jockey caps. As players bet the maximum bet, they accumulate "tickets" when any three scattered ticket symbols appear and ultimately enable the Community Bonus feature. At selected intervals, the Call to Post sounds signaling the beginning of the Community Bonus round and prompting players to bet on the eight horses in the race displayed on their game screen and on the overhead LCD screen. As the race unfolds, players cheer for their horse as they receive a multiplier of the bet depending on what place their horse finishes.
