XcelPlus Global Holdings Selects GEN-X Energy Group as Strategic Partner for Operations Management
DOTHAN, Ala. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - XcelPlus
Global Holdings, Inc. (Pink Sheets: XPGH) has enlisted GEN-X Energy
Group Inc., a privately held biodiesel and renewable fuels producer, as
a strategic partner to handle operations management for a nationwide
renewable fuels expansion project. GEN-X will manage day-to-day
functions including customer relations, product distribution and
logistics to support the continued growth of XcelPlus as the fuel oil
market increasingly embraces alternative, renewable fuels as replacement
for petroleum products.
"We've seen steady growth this year and reached a volume where we needed
to provide a high level of customer service and ensure our product gets
to market on time and on budget," said J. Michael Parsons, president of
XcelPlus Global Holdings. "GEN-X Energy Group demonstrated its knowledge
and capabilities to deliver these services, and its compliance
department is second to none."
Scott Johnson, president and CEO of GEN-X Energy Group said, "Our
alliance with XcelPlus Global will advance the missions of both
companies and further establish renewable fuels as a less-expensive
option in the fuel oil market."
GEN-X recently participated in the largest maritime biodiesel study in
the United States. Ramon Benavides, vice president of business
development for the company, has addressed the U.S. Departments of
Energy and Agricultural about the country's biodiesel infrastructure. He
stated, "Biodiesel has been identified as a viable alternative for
maritime fuel, and the worldwide shipping market holds tremendous
potential for us."
Parsons added that XcelPlus is establishing distribution points across
the United States. Sites currently being planned include Memphis, TN,
Kansas City, MO, Tampa, FL, Toledo, OH, Salt Lake City, UT and southwest
Washington State.
