What Does President Obama Have in Common With Joe Camel?
How Barack Obama Can Kick Cigarette Habit!
What does President Obama have in common with Joe Camel? The cool iconic cartoon character was used to advertise Camel cigarettes until 1998, when the government intervened, because Joe Camel was becoming as recognizable to kids as Mickey Mouse.
Obama is a cool character, too. That's why we don't need photographs, like the ones coming out recently, of the President lighting up.
On Monday, Obama signed a major anti-smoking bill aimed at protecting young people. On Tuesday he had to answer questions in a White House press conference about his struggle with nicotine addiction. Let's hope the image of Obama smoking does not damage his message.
