Americas' SAP Users' Group Announces Interim CEO
CHICAGO - (BUSINESS WIRE) - The Americas' SAP Users' Group (ASUG), the world's largest customer-run
community of SAP professionals, announced today that the Board of
Directors has appointed Bridgette Chambers as Interim Chief Executive
Officer of the organization, effective immediately.
With nearly 20 years of experience in the solutions and professional
services industry, Chambers brings a unique set of experiences in
driving change and revenue growth, and improving customer service and
client satisfaction. Her background in strategic planning and
operational excellence, extensive knowledge of SAP and previous
involvement with ASUG at the regional and national levels, positions her
as the ideal candidate.
As interim CEO, Chambers will work closely with the ASUG Board of
Directors to extend the long-term strategy of the organization, oversee
daily operations and create an environment that positions ASUG for
continued membership growth and success.
"Bridgette's credentials and proven track record of success will
contribute greatly to the evolution of this organization," said Abbe
Mulders, chairperson of the ASUG Board of Directors. "In the short time
she has been engaged, she already has proved her ability to quickly
grasp our organization's operations, opportunities and challenges, and
has won the confidence of our Board and staff. And although this
initially is an interim position, both parties are open to the
possibility of Bridgette joining the organization on a more permanent
basis."
Prior to joining ASUG, Chambers held the position of CEO at Voile
Enterprises, a leading management consultancy, where she increased
revenues and profitability and successfully guided the organization
through acquisition. Chambers will remain on the Voile Enterprises Board
of Directors.
Before joining Voile, Chambers served as Vice President of Enterprise
Business Solutions at Comsys, where she had worldwide responsibility for
the company's Enterprise Resource Planning, Business Intelligence, and
Analytics divisions. During her tenure there, she negotiated the first
VAR agreement in the history of Comsys and SAS, the largest independent
business intelligence vendor, which opened many untapped markets for
both organizations. Chambers also oversaw the growth of an SAP practice
that acquired Gold Partner status from SAP in 2007. Her focus on
strategic partners, strategic channels, customer service and client
satisfaction contributed to her division doubling revenue from 2005 to
2007.
Chambers honed her professional services leadership skills at Spherion
Professional Services and Robert Half International Consulting Services,
where she spent several years improving underperforming markets,
building strong relationships with service providers and clients, and
architecting a positive culture for employees. She earned a Bachelor of
Science degree in Education from the University of Houston, an MBA at
Texas A&M University, and developed her leadership skills while serving
her country in the United States Army Reserves and the Texas Army
National Guard. Chambers resides in Chicago, where the organization is
headquartered.
"The success ASUG has enjoyed over the years has been made possible by a
dedicated and engaged Board of Directors, an experienced management team
and an extensive network of devoted volunteers, all of whom work daily
to advance the mission of the organization," said Chambers. "I am
excited to join the organization, and I look forward to building on this
very solid foundation."
