Always a Kick! Folsom Pro Rodeo

The Folsom Chamber of Commerce and the City of Folsom are gearing up for the 49th annual Folsom Pro Rodeo on July 2, 3 & 4. The rodeo starts at 7:00 p.m. nightly with gates opening at 6:00 pm. New cattle drive time - 6:00 pm

On July 1, the annual cattle drive kicks off at 6:00 pm with the first annual running of the Bullipedes. The route begins at the rodeo arena, proceeds on Stafford Street to Natoma Street to Coloma Street and finishes at the end of Sutter Street. for more information on the Bullipede Run visit www.folsomprorodeo.com or www.bullipedes.org.

Immediately following the cattle drive there will be live music and a barbeque organized by Rotary on and behind the Chamber grounds. The Powerhouse Pub showcases live music featuring Rusty Evans in their parking lot. Businesses in the district are encouraged to extend their shopping hours and show Folsom's traditional rodeo spirit to the thousands who attend this event every year.

There is likely to be increased traffic in and around the arena area during the cattle drive and during rodeo days. In the interest of community safety, there will be no community arial firewworks show.

Besides being a great way for the whole family to celebrate the 4th of July holiday, the Folsom Rodeo benefits surrounding communities, businesses and service organizations.
