Biltmore Who's Who Selects Richard M. Ruggiero as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry
PHILADELPHIA - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Richard M. Ruggiero, Project Manager for CDI Corporation, has
been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore
Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection
recognizes Richard M. Ruggiero's professional accomplishments in
the field of Information Technology.
Richard M. Ruggiero, who received his BS in
Computer Science from Drexel University, followed by an MS in
Organizational Dynamics from the University
of Pennsylvania, is a certified project management professional with
information technology (IT) experience spanning over 25 years.
After making his way through college, he began a fifteen year-long
venture with GE Aerospace (later known as Lockheed Martin), where he
held a number of different positions, including quality assurance for
hardware and software, program control, systems engineer and product
control. Ruggiero's next stint lasted another seven years with
The Vanguard Group, a financial company where he lead their project
management office. From there, Ruggiero settled in with CDI
Corporation, where he has worked as a project manager for the last three
and a half years.
As project manager, Mr. Ruggiero is responsible for all phases of
large scale IT project delivery, including conceptual definition,
executive approval, managing scope, design, implementation, testing and
production cutover. He's in charge of all communications to the
executive committee, such as reporting status, assessing and explaining
risks, and defining, documenting and controlling scope changes. "My last
project," Ruggiero said, "required the management and
coordination of personnel on three continents with differing needs and
expectations, all while ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance."
Ruggiero's objective to continue working in his field is still
much desired. He would, however, like to someday branch out into the
healthcare or construction field. "In the healthcare industry I could
help with increasing efficiencies regarding workflow, benefiting patient
experiences. In construction, I could leverage my project management
experience in planning and management, while at the same time being able
to work outdoors," he said. Still though, he is the first to admit that
his biggest inspiration remains to be his family. "The need to take care
of my family is my number one motivation. I want to be sure that my
children are not limited when choosing colleges. Having choices is
important to me."
Ruggiero's tenured experience in IT has given him the credit,
longevity and stability he deserves. He admits to seeing the "big
picture" and paying extra attention to detail. His communication style
tends to be very direct and forthright in the business world, saying, "I
am assertive when required and am skilled at active persuasion of both
internal and external clients in order to achieve my objectives.
Mr. Ruggiero is a member of the Project Management Institute and
donates to the Debora Heart and Lung Hospital in Brown Mills, New
Jersey. In his spare time, he enjoys the arts, reading,
gardening, walking and traveling.
