Designed for Use in Classrooms and Corporate Environments; 16:10 Format Systems Available in 72- 84- and 92-inch Sizes to Support PC Projection

ORLANDO, Fla. andCARTHAGE, Mo., June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- A new family of high ambient light, front projection display systems, designed specifically for the needs of the education and corporate markets, makes its debut here at the InfoComm '09 conference and exhibition.

The AccelerOptics(R) systems (on display in booth #4871) are an expansion of the company's award-winning CAPTURE(TM) Projection Displays. They are perfectly visible in bright light applications including day lit classrooms and college lecture halls, cafeterias, corporate boardrooms, training facilities and similar environments. Their native 16:10 projection format is fully compatible with computer presentation aspect ratios. The CAPTURE screens are available in 72-, 84- and 92- inch screen sizes and double as electronic white boards.

"Our integration partners asked us to develop these systems to address their customers' needs for high performance, high ambient light front projection display systems that support PC input without distortion," said Gary Quasebarth, director of sales, AccelerOptics. "Many schools today are conserving energy by using natural daylight to illuminate their classrooms. Our systems thrive in these environments yet do equally well in traditional classroom and lecture hall settings where shutting off the lights to view a presentation is often an invitation to some students to catch up on their sleep."

Early feedback from the integrator community has been positive.

"Our higher education, K-12 and corporate clients are going to really like these new CAPTURE systems," said Joe Baer, regional vice president, AVI Systems, an audio-visual systems integrator with 10 offices in nine states, primarily in the upper Midwest and on the West Coast. "The ability to project distortion-free images from computers in high ambient light situations will make this very popular with many of our clients."

CAPTURE Screen Technology

AccelerOptics' patented screen technology consists of optically engineered surfaces with complex optics molded inside. Unlike competitive screens, CAPTURE screens' durable surfaces reflect light in specific patterns instead of filtering it. The gain is increased by a factor of five compared to standard matte finished screens without center-line hotspotting or contrast loss.

The seamless screens are ultra light, durable and vandal-resistant and can be easily mounted to walls, stands or ceilings. They offer the clarity, brightness, contrast and visual performance of LCD, plasma and LED systems technology in a more flexible format. The complete screen and projection system offers an effective solution for institutions looking for brilliant screen projection at a fraction of the cost of alternative systems.

CAPTURE systems have been strongly embraced by the integration and engineering community. The company's 100- and 200-inch 16:9 systems have been installed in a variety of harsh digital signage and out-of-home display environments including airports, shopping malls and religious institutions. Awards and recognition include the 2008 Digi Award, from the Digital Signage Group, and being named one of 2008's hottest products by Religious Product News.

The new CAPTURE systems are available immediately. Technical specifications and information about becoming an AccelerOptics dealer, are available online at www.capturedisplays.com or by calling Jenny Brust, business development manager at 417-237-0905 or via e-mail to info@capturedisplays.com.
