Published: Send to a friend Big Hiring Event in Sacramento for Veterans, Military By Karen Galvin Companies Looking to Hire Veterans in Sacramento The free RecruitMilitary Career Fair event will take place in Elk Grove (Sacramento) on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at DeVry University - Sacramento Center, 2216 Kausen Dr., from 11am-3pm. Over 300 veterans are expected to attend this special event intended to help our recently returning troops and other veterans and service members, and their spouses find jobs. Veterans will be able to interview with an all-star team of National, Regional, & Local employers at the RecruitMilitary Career Fair. This event is produced in cooperation with the President's National Hire Veterans Committee (HireVets First), The American Legion, and the Military Spouse Corporate Career Network (MSCCN). The event will be sponsored by DeVry, and will coincide with a town hall meeting hosted by DeVry to discuss how the new, Post-9/11 GI Bill will provide new educational opportunities. RecruitMiltary is raising awareness in Sacramento and surrounding area communities to help the veterans that have served our country find employment with many veteran-friendly companies that will be there on site.
