National Floors Direct Covers Top Quality Tile Flooring Needs of Salvation Army's Eva Booth House With Donation

Residency program for women with substance abuse problems gets support

National Floors Direct ">, one of America's largest resellers and installers of carpet, hardwood flooring, and laminate flooring, recently donated vinyl tile flooring to the Eva Booth House, a residency program for women with substance abuse problems run by the Salvation Army.

The program at the Eva Booth House helps women develop positive self-images and skills they need to remain sober and successfully reintegrate into their community and reunite with their families.

According to Todd Asti, spokesperson for National Floors Direct, the company chose the Eva Booth House because "we admire the positive work of the Salvation Army in our community, and we wanted to be able to help contribute toward a constructive experience for the women while they are in the program."

"We are truly grateful for the generous donation from National Floors Direct. The new tile flooring helps to make the environment here all the more positive and uplifting as we strive to help the women in our program get back on their feet," said Capt. Jen speaking on behalf of the Salvation Army and the Eva Booth House.

About The Salvation Army's Eva Booth House

The Eva Booth House consists of 12 emergency shelter beds for homeless women, 34 drug treatment beds funded by the state Department of Public Health, 21 "step-down" beds for recovering addicts and 10 single-occupancy rooms. Nearly one out of three individuals who need treatment for addiction is a woman. The Salvation Army's Eva Booth House serves these women, confident they are more than twice as likely to complete treatment at a women-only center. It was named after Evangeline Cory Booth, one of eight children of William Booth, the founder of the Salvation Army. Ms. Booth's leadership and social-relief efforts attracted public attention and helped garner greater support for the organization.
