March on Albany "The First Steps" Toward Changing Forever
"March on Albany" This Tuesday
I am very happy that someone has finally organized a march on Albany, N.Y. The most recent events regarding the attempt by the minority in the Senate to gain majority control is another clear example how many of the politicians in Albany have totally lost touch with the reality of why they are in government and what they really should be doing for the people of New York State.
Many of the arrogant comments by some Senators literally bragging how they "outsmarted" their political opponents speaks volumes in terms of just how much they have lost touch with why they are in Albany. Political childish games are why very little progress is made on many of the problems facing New York residents.
I firmly believe that one of the first steps which need to be taken is the establishment of term limits. Two terms are plenty of time to make solid contributions to government. Too many people get into government and establish personal priorities rather than focusing on solving problems for the people of New York.
I hope that the March on Albany is "the first steps" toward changing forever the farce that has gone on far too long in our State government. I cannot attend the march on the 16th of June but I have sent in my email and plan on contributing my time, talent and money to facilitate a change in our State government which reflects the will of the people of our State.
Good luck and God speed to those citizens who take the time to represent the "People" of New York and I sincerely hope that they attain their goals.
