This is a great article, "Thorough, Not Faster Immigration Policy Needed". I have read it several times. I am an IT specialist, and I can tell you that the H-1B workers program has really devastated American workers since the late 90s and now. During the Crash in 2001, most of my American friends got laid off, sent home due to massive layoffs at .Com companies.

I was one of them. Six months later I started working for Perot Systems. The first day I arrived at Perot Systems, I almost couldn't believe my own eyes! Almost 80% of the IT specialists at Perot Systems were Indian H-1B workers. I was so pissed. Why are companies using so many imported workers?

I never hated a single Indian inside Perot Systems. It is not their fault, it is the fault of the corporates and politicians abusing power. We IT people had a hard time finding jobs. Most of my IT and Engineering friends taught their children not to go for the Engineer or IT career because it is a dead field. I can't imagine the US without its own Engineers. You can't rely on foreigners forever.

The reason why the US is ahead everybody else, is because their technologies are better than anybody else. Companies that rely on the Indians and Chinese, are helping the snake growing in your hand. When they grow bigger, they will bite you harder. I know the Chinese were teaching their citizens to hate the US. All I can tell you is to be careful with these foreigners.

Americans are getting poorer every day, the other day I talked to a friend who just got a layoff notice. He told me companies are offering engineers a little better than McDonald's rate. He had to take it because he has to support his family. How can you mistreat us like this? What can we do, when a rich man like Bill Gate has all the money he can get lobbying the congress to say the US does not have enough engineers and scientists.

All I can tell you, is that if you promise a good salary like playing pro football and basketball players, more and more people will join the field. Americans are very smart people and they are not stupid like Bill Gates is portraying them. Bill Gates is IT's number one enemy right now. Right now I am using the Microsoft software to make a living programming, but I think Microsoft will fall in my life time. People don't want to pay for their expensive Windows operating system and Microsoft Office.

When these policies make everybody poorer, who is going to buy the software and other products? In the end, the losers are both Americans and companies, because nobody can buy anything. Eventually, they will lay off all the H-1B slaves as well as American workers.

So now you know why fewer people go for Engineering, because they don't want to spend all the college money and end up unemployed like their parents and friends.

I think we must stand up, make our voices heard and fight harder. I want to see more writers like you expose the bad guys. Your contribution is great for us. We always appreciate what you're writing.

As it right now I can tell you Americans are apathetic, they just sit back and relax. They don't want to fight anymore, but if we stop fighting, this country will be heading down to hell. We must take the matter seriously. Rise up and fight the crook CEOs and Congressmen. Call them and tell them your story or vote them out before it is too late.
