The World's First Live TV Broadcast for iPhone 3G and iPod touch Presented as a Sneak Preview to iPhone Developers Worldwide and Visitors of WWDC via Live Streaming of 'The Amazing Race' Grand Finale from Israel

TEL-AVIV, Israel - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Reshet TV, one of the most successful television networks in Israel, is the first network to adopt a Live-TV application for the iPhone and iPod Touch, based on new functionality announced by Apple at the Worldwide Developers Conference, which will become available to developers on June 17.

iReshet, Reshet's new application, will be available for download on the iPhone App Store following the public release of the iPhone OS 3.0 Software, and will provide viewers access to Reshet's premium content wherever and whenever they want it.

The application will utilize Applicaster, a pioneering end-to-end turnkey broadcasting solution, supporting 24h live-streaming through a subscription service (both features are part of the new functionality announced by Apple, as part of the iPhone OS 3.0 release, which will be available to developers starting June 17).

Reshet and Applicaster will broadcast the season's show finale of 'The Amazing Race Israel,' featuring model and celebrity Raz Meirman, the audience's choice as the sexiest anchor of The Amazing Race Worldwide. Reshet TV produces 'The Amazing Race' for Israeli television since it signed a licensing agreement with CBS in April 2008.

The service is based on Cotendo's Content Delivery Network; the iReshet stream will be broadcasted directly from Cotendo's California POP (access from other locations may experience some latency). The anticipated iReshet application will feature a live stream distributed by Cotendo's multiple POPs worldwide, providing users with continuous access to Reshet's premium content from anywhere at any time.

The Live event will be open to all developers holding the iPhone OS 3.0 beta release, and may be accessed through iPhone 3.0 Safari on http://ireshet.applicaster.com. The event will start at 8:30PM (GMT+2) / 1:30PM (EDT) / 10:30 (PDT) with a special message to the developers followed by a special broadcast translated into English. The Grand Finale will be broadcasted live at 9:00PM (GMT+2) / 2:00PM (EDT) / 11:00 (PDT). The stream will only work with iPhone OS 3.0.
