Top Six Military Planes Mistaken For UFOs
By Robert Paul Reyes
"Spy and stealth planes - some with bizarre, bat-shaped wings, others with triangular silhouettes that imply otherworldly designs - have long generated UFO sightings and lore. And official denials feed rumors that the government isn't telling us about alien ships.
The CIA estimates that over half of the UFOs reported from the 1950s through the 1960s were U-2 and SR-71 spy planes." http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,524997,00.html
According to Fox News these are the six top-secret aircraft mistaken for UFO's:
1. RQ-3 Darkstar
2. U-2
3. SR-71 Blackbird
4. P-791
5. F-117A Nighthawk
6. B-2 Spirit
When the Air Force is testing a new super secret plane it doesn't issue a press release complete with photographs. Some of these aircraft have a very unique design, and it's understandable that they might be mistaken for flying saucers. I'm not surprised that so many folks mistake Air Force planes as UFO's.
Secret military planes account for about half of the UFO sightings, but clouds, swamp gas, Chinese lanterns, helicopters, weather balloons, flares, light reflected from buildings, Frisbees, stars, fireflies, kites, butterflies, paper airplanes, a baseball clobbered by A- Rod, a midget tossed in the air, fireworks, the moon, birds, lightning, bubbles, and rocks thrown in the air account for the other half.
Intelligent persons mistake military aircraft for UFOs, and idiots and drunkards mistake swamp gas etc as flying saucers. If you see an unidentified flying object, the chances that it's an extraterrestrial craft is nil.
