Boeing Integrated Defense Systems at El Segundo Satellite Development Center Wins TOCICO North American Achievement Award for 2009

Tacoma, WA, June 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Theory of Constraints International Certification Organization (TOCICO) at its North American conference in Tacoma, WA is recognizing the Boeing Integrated Defense Systems at El Segundo Satellite Development Center on June 7, 2009. Boeing will be presented an achievement award for its demonstrated longevity in the successful use of Theory of Constraints (TOC) tools and significant contribution to the TOC community. Mr. Charles Toups, Boeing Vice President will be on hand to accept this highly coveted award.

In addition to receiving this award, Boeing will be making several presentations:

· “The Soft Stuff is the Hard Stuff” by Floyd Sheet & Steve Holt
· “TOC in Large Projects” by Rees Furbeck
· “Implementation of Lean+ and Theory of Constraints in Boeing Fleet Support Engineering – Airframe” by Michael Brunner

According to Dr. James Holt, TOCICO Chairman "this North American conference is the first of five international conferences around the world to provide unique insights how to survive and thrive in these unique economic times. Over 40 presentations will discuss how companies have applied the Theory of Constraint and achieved sustainable success. The final conference in Japan will be held in November."

The Theory of Constraints International Certification Organization (TOCICO) unites people who share a passion for win-win holistic thinking and share a vision that this will become the main way to manage organizations. The TOCICO is a global not-for-profit certification organization for TOC practitioners, consultants and academics to develop and administer certification standards, and facilitate the exchange of latest developments.
